Halloween Costumes & Weekend Recap

Today I am linking up with The Mom Creative to show off our Halloween Costumes! This year Zachary was a lion, my husband was the Wizard and I was Dorothy. We all had a blast dressing up!

Halloween night was a lot of fun. Not a lot of my pictures turned out and the rest are on my husbands phone because mine died, but here is one that I got before trick-or-treating on Thursday. Zach had a lot of fun, but he enjoyed passing out candy the most. It was cute to watch him interact with all the little kids.

On Friday, my brother's band played at a local bar for their annual Halloween party. The whole band was dressed up as characters from Star Wars. I dressed up as Sandy from Grease. It was awesome to watch the show and hang out with some family and friends.

Saturday night was my younger brother's annual Halloween party. His party and my brother's show are the two events that we continue to try and make since having Zach and they both fell on the same weekend. :/ Oh well. We dressed up as The Wizard of Oz and Dorothy (see first picture above). We hung out at Grandma's and put Zachary to bed before heading out for the evening.

Sunday morning consisted of sleeping in and recovering. It's so fun to hang out with our friends, but I always regret it the next day. Even 2 beers makes me feel like crap the next day. The joys of getting older, hahaha! Grandma brought Zachary home and we hung out for the rest of the afternoon. It was actually really nice to truly have a lazy Sunday where we don't get out of our pajamas!

Over all it was a great weekend, but I am definitely looking forward to the next few weekends where I have absolutely NO plans.

Happy Monday!

  2. Wonderful family costumes! Sounds like you had a great weekend.
I'm the same about going out. I love it when I'm doing it, but the next morning is always hard. I think it might have to do with having little ones too. :o)
