A few weeks ago we went to visit our friends that live in California. They live about an hour outside of San Francisco and they planned an awesome four days for us! Here is a recap of our first day in California! Does anyone else constantly think of Arnold saying Cali-forn-ia? LOL
We landed around lunch time and were absolutely starving! Tiffany took us to The Counter in Santa Row (San Jose). It was SO good and we loved the fact that we could make it whatever we wanted!
After lunch we walked around Santana Row. It's basically an outdoor shopping mall. Lots of high end stores, nice restaurants and cool bars. We made a quick stop at The Yard House for a beer. The set up was cool and they had what seemed like over 100 beers on draft. I couldn't make up my mind!

Afterwards we headed to get some donuts. Yes...donuts! My friend posted a picture once of the most amazing looking donut and I told her that when we came to visit she had to take us to get some! We ended up getting a Smores, Oreo, 2 cheesecake and another I can't remember! The one that cracked me up the most was the Michael Jackson...look at the description!
After getting our donuts, and having too much fun in the Psycho Donuts booth, we headed back to their home and got settled in. We got to meet their adorable son and then headed to dinner. We went to this place for Sushi and it was AMAZING! Seriously. We are now on the hunt for a place like this near our house!
After dinner, we went back to their place, had a couple drinks and caught up. We were pretty excited for our first full day in California which we were going to spend in Santa Cruz!
